Hi, I’m Chris Krouse, aka Miss Chris. I am living the dream teaching music to children ages 0 to 5 years old.
After many years working for the non profit and private sectors, and staying home to raise my son, I went back to work teaching music at Wesley United Methodist Preschool. As a life long music lover with a special skill for entertaining children, this job was instantly meaningful and fun.
Looking for more teaching opportunities led to me hosting “Little Music Makers” at the Vienna Community Center and to a teaching position at Holly Brook Montessori School. I also started laying the groundwork for my new venture “Music With Miss Chris," where I continue to create and perform fun, entertaining and educational music lessons for kids.
Class Offerings:
- Music for Babies and Toddlers (age 0-2): Building the most fundamental music skills for babies and toddlers, we will sing, bounce, clap, move and explore simple instruments. Our youngest kiddos learn through repetition, so we will revisit some of the same songs each week.
- Little Music Makers (age 3-5): Children will learn the fundamentals of music through singing, playing simple instruments, exploring beat and rhythm, dancing, using seasonal props and more! Your child will love this highly active and engaging class.
- Host Classes (all ages): Host classes are private classes run out of a person’s home - the host! The host organizes a small group of their friends to come to the class. Four families minimum and the host gets 50% off the class fee. This setup is perfect for homeschool groups and families. Contact me if you are interested in more information about hosting a class.
