Description
Improve Life provides medication management, therapy, and wellness strategies to children 12 and older, pregnant mothers, young adults, and women ANYWHERE in Virginia. We also diagnose and treat ADHD in men and women of all ages.
Examples of some mental health issues we treat: low mood, stress, panic attacks, psychotic episodes, relationship trouble, mood swings, phobias, concentration difficulties, behavioral outbursts, trauma, eating disorders, body image, nightmares, unwanted thoughts, and repetitive behaviors.
Examples of physical health issues we can help with: insomnia, coping with chronic illness, fatigue, headaches, indigestion, weight gain/loss, medical decision making, fibromyalgia, contraception, STD testing, drug testing, anemia, and some thyroid issues.
In 2023, Dr. Waggel became certified in perinatal mental health and perinatal psychopharmacology (medication for pregnant people). We are also excited to annouce that we offer FREE biweekly, anonymous, and virtual group therapy for pregnant persons + new parents.

| Initial Assesment with Medical Doctor | - |
60 Minutes PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL TO FINISH APPLYING. An Initial Assessment consists of: medical history gathering, symptom review, safety assessment, creation of a chart and plan of action. Plan of action may include therapy and/or medication management. The doctors specialize in anxiety, depression, OCD, and ADHD. We are considered an out-of-network provider. By entering your contact information, you agree to be contacted at the phone number and email address you provide and you must check this email promptly for important information. All in-person sessions are held on Wednesdays. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE DAILY PASSCODE THEN YOU DO NOT HAVE AN IN-PERSON APPOINTMENT and you will receive a HIPAA compliant zoom link to your email address on file at the start time of your appointment. If you do not complete the appointment request process and we can’t reach you within 24 hours you will be placed on the wait-list. You must cancel or reschedule this assessment with 48 hours notice if you wish to receive a refund. Please watch our Welcome Video for more information. You will receive a password once everything is completed. There is a non-refundable $50 fee for booking online (so we can be sure only those with serious interest apply online). |

This is an initial assessment for patients that ARE NOT interested in medication. The doctor will review your initial assessment paperwork with you and create your account. The treatment plan WILL NOT include medication. This is perfect for those seeking therapy only. This is a virtual appointment. Please make sure you have completed all the paperwork sent to your email. You will receive a password once everything is completed. There is a $50 fee for booking online. If you wish to avoid that fee please see our "Walk-ins" webpage.
