Physical Therapy for Pregnancy & Birth Prep $200

We're here to provide indivicualized guidance on what your body needs to help you stay moving, help you stay pain free, and help you achieve your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum goals. Working with one of our therapists during your pregnancy establishes the relationship and lines of communication for your postpartum needs. Learn how to manage pre-existing injuries or dysfunctions safely and comfortably during your pregnancy. Prepare for the postpartum period by getting individualized guidance on the optimal recovery strategies, biomechanics, and equipment you may need.

As movement experts, we have the unique ability to assess the mobility, strength, and flexibility of your body and address how these factors may impact your birthing experience.

  • Learn how to prepare and protect your pelvic floor prior to giving birth.
  • Feel prepared for labor and delivery by working through positioning and strategies tailored to your body for all stages of labor.
  • Create a plan for positioning and movement throughout all components of labor while keeping your pain medication preferences in mind.
  • Get assistance in communicating your preferences to your birthing team.
  • Develop an approach for the early days of postpartum recovery by learning how to navigate those first few weeks.

Physical Therapy for Postpartum Care $200

Get the individualized care for the rehabilitation every birthing person needs in the 4th trimester plus guidance to safely return to the exercise and activities you love! We firmly believe that every birthing person should be evaluated by a pelvic floor physical therapist postpartum. While your OB or midwife is checking in on the healing of your uterus, incision, or other possible complications, a pelvic floor physical therapist will assess your pelvic floor muscle strength and tone, hip strength and mobility, spine mobility, diastasis recti, rib dysfunctions, and biomechanics that can impact your recovery.

Returning to your desired exercise, hobbies, and sports postpartum should be based on so much more than one visit 6 weeks postpartum "clearing" you. New moms should be assessed for readiness to tolerate an increase in their physical activities and then given an individualized exercise plan to bridge the gap. Learn what you need to do to return to doing the things you love safely and without pain, leakage, heaviness, or further injury.

All physical therapy sessions are one-on-one for 60 minutes. This session takes place at our Arlington office.
